Random niche #xmen question about #magik / #illyanarasputin . Is it ever explained in canon how her head spikes stay on, and if they serve any function? Like is it just a headband she wears under her hair and those 2 things stick up on each side? Magic/mutant protrusions? I feel like it's just a design aesthetic to resemble her soul sword but I'm just guessing.
