As much as I like @fedora must admit no major version upgrade comes smooth
This time, upgrading to Fedora v42 has weirdest issue on bootup when it asks for LUKS decryption phrase: it asks once, then attempts to boot, and then asks again, however, neither laptop nor external keyboard inputs anything.
So I loaded Kernel of Fedora v41 (all smooth with it) and when booted reinstalled Kernel:
sudo dnf reinstall kernel\*
Interestingly, it helped - after choosing 6.14.4-300.fc42.x86_64
Kernel, it asked for LUKS passphrase input, accepted it, then briefly flashed again (oh no, I thought!), but dialog disappeared and session manager loaded up.
There is always so much stress when upgrading major version...
