To everyone out there who is #australian, I urge you to please sign this petition! This petition is asking your government to offer asylum to trans and other LGBTQ+ folks, like myself, from the United States. The United States, which is unfortunately where I reside, has become an increasingly hostile place for us queer folk. Even "safe states" are at risk. The situation here has gotten dire, and we're all in grave danger. The sooner we can get out of here, the better. The approaching squawk was closer now, Miralees got to her feet. Her heart was pounding with excitement at seeing Eftena and she pushed herself to her feet leaning heavily on the stick.

She looked round and saw that even Setna had retreated under the trees.

Then she just looked up as Stupid flew above with someone on his back.

“Here, Effie! Stupid!”

The gryphon banked and set his wings into a V as he dropped out of the sky and then beat hard as his back legs touched down followed by his talons.

The woman on his back shouted “Mira!” and jumped down. She was tall, and strode across the ground. She flung her arms around Miralees and kissed her hard on the mouth.

“Thank goodness, I found you, my love!”

“Daria? But...”
