Opportunity at Naturaliste

Naturaliste is a small crater about 15 meters in diameter on the plains of Meridiani, about 1 km south of Endurance crater. Captured by the Opportunity rover on Mars 2, 2005 (Sol 393); full credits in ALT.

A rust toned mosaic capturing a modest-sized Martian impact crater. Some of the solar panels of the Mars rover Opportunity can be seen on the right hand side of the scene. In detail, this panorama spans about 140 degrees and consists of images obtained in 50 individual pointings and 3 Pancam filters at each pointing. This mosaic is an approximate true color rendering generated using the images acquired through Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters.
