Wanted: CJKVZ #fonts which are COMPLETELY SQUARE and suited for vertical text, have half-height adjusted western scripts, turned or not. That is, #monospace fonts for vertical text. Bonus if they have square box and line art too. Thanks.

I know, haha, I shall probably diy this somehow, someday…

Pour programmer, j’aime vraiment beaucoup la très joli famille de polices Monaspace (notament la version Radon), mais je viens de découvrir Atkinson Hyperlegible (qui a une version monospace), et on peut avouer que le nom ne ment pas!

Maple 7 is out and damn is it a gorgeous, open-source, variable weight monospace font with superb italics, ligatures, nerd font symbols and Chinese support and a ton of options.

I'm not sure it's going to replace my beloved MonoLisa as my primary monospace font but I’m going to give it a shot.

I really like the small gaps option.

#Serif #terminal / #programming #fonts remain far and few between. Why? I find them more legible and there are a few out there that look really nice.

My favorites are "Go Mono" and "Luxi Mono", both by Holmes & Bigelow who did many of the popular (early) #Macintosh fonts. "PT Mono" is nice too (has less serifs). Give them a try for a few days and see yourself!

I am using the TI-84 as my baseline for a hypertext markup language for reasons. (mainly omnidirectional text and character setting similar to old grid typesetting, but with more.) Then I found this GEM of a site where we could theoretically communicate with them!!!

spaces.

A monospace font is a font where each letter and character takes up the same amount of horizontal space. This is different from variable-width fonts, where the letters and spaces have different widths.

Some examples of monospaced fonts include Courier New, Lucida Sans Typewriter, Consolas, PT Mono, Roboto Mono, Lucida Console, and Inconsolata.

I'm really struggling to find a certain #monospace #font. I have seen it somewhere online. The special feature was the number characters, which were designed to visually represent the character's value by the area the ink covers of the rectangle around the character. E.g. "1" was very thin, covering 10% of the background, "4" covered 40%, "9" was reaaly bold and covered 90% of the background, and so on.

Does anyone know of this font? I saw it posted in the context of #dataviz #heatmaps #rstats
