A nice thing about owning an old Land Rover is that in the spring in comes into bloom.

For #mosstodon, here is a pattern of moss growing on a tree trunk in the Wahiawa Botanical Garden on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Made from an exposure stack using Hugin, then processing the HDR image in Luminance HDR.

A semi-circular pattern of green moss that appears to be growing in lines that someone apparently cut into the bark of a tree. The bark is a mix of brown, blue-gray and reddish brown patches. The out-of-focus background is green leaves growing on the sides of the hill behind the tree.

Presented: the end result of a lot of work. This is what my desk looks like when I finish something.
Four of these lights have already left the studio (well, the living room) and are now with their new owners. I feel very lucky to have so many people following and supporting me. Maybe one day I'll have an actual studio, and maybe I will also have learned to clean it by then!

I mentioned a couple of days ago that we had a #weather forecast for #rain + #snow possibly quite a bit. It stayed rain longer than forecast, finally going white (for a short time) late his morning; stopped for now, but still a possibility of 10-20cm through tomorrow night.
