The Vinyl Ape 🦧NIRVANA Bleach 2011 U.S. ReissueAround 1989/1990, a lot of Nirvana’s peers could do what they did in most respects. There were a lot of bands who had their “Floyd The Barber” or “Sifting”.There weren’t too many who could write songs like “About A Girl”. That’s where Kurt always separated himself from everybody else. His insane knack for melody & Beatles-esque catchiness. Kurt was a stone-cold killer of a songwriter. Bleach is such an incredible album for the $600 something dollars they spent on it. It shouldn’t have been such a surprise that they ended up dominating the world for 3 years. Anybody who heard Bleach in real time in ‘89 should have easily seen it coming.
