Yeah, Graffiti 2 a.k.a. Jot was a result of a stupid patent suit. It was nerfed to comply with a court ruling.

I was just remembering yesterday that early #Palm units actually ran off of RAM (and had a backup battery to keep DRAM alive).

I remember reading something about how the Treo models transition to writing everything to flash, but still "ran" off of RAM, and had some process to keep the flash backup up-to-date.

Have you ever seen anything about that?
