A new update for Potatostrike has been released!

Version 0.7.1 adds a reworked version of most of the game's soundtrack. The old version is still available in-game as the "Legacy" soundtrack.

Additionally, a few technical improvements have been made, and the Titan's fire pattern was modified.

This was easily the most complicated patch I've made and used almost all my cables. Trying to document what I did was quite an exercise!

I found some new tricks on the Grandmother and Pam's which I'm going to reuse. I was pretty happy with the outcome with Rings but there's room for improvement in the percussive flurries from Plaits.

Whoops, all filters!

Euclidean Circles is pinging Ripples (a clean low pass filter) for the kick. It's also pinging a Wasp (a distorting filter) in mostly high pass mode for the high part. Wasp output goes through 100 Grit (usually a heavy distortion filter) but tuned to light distortion. 100 Grit output goes through both channels of 4ms DLD (a delay) to output, and one channel feeds back to Wasp FM.

In this recording I mostly play the knobs on the Wasp and DLD.

A modular synth with a keyboard in front. The synth is about a foot and a half (45cm) wide with two rows of modules. Around two thirds of the modules have patch cables attached, but those ones are pretty dense.
