On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Victory Run”. This is a 1987 racing game based on the Paris-Dakar Rally, developed & published by #HudsonSoft. Uniquely, the player selects spare parts before the race to be used as parts degrade, adding an element of strategy.

#hitexplode R-Type II (part 2 of R-Type) on the #pcengine. Was not all powered-up at the end and finally gave up and restarted from the beginning. Made sure I had the right power-ups. @pointerfunction.bsky.social helped troubleshoot and thought of this before I started redoing everything 3 more times. I was testing the new cable before the power circuit was finished (parts in order), but have now connected 5V wire directly to pin 16. This is a cable for my #pcengine which has caps and resistors in the RGB amp.
Made an update to the cap maps page for #pcengine on consolemods.org. Added photos and cap maps for the Duo, edited the board photos of the Duo-R and Super CD-Rom2 and added cap maps for the Sharp X1 Twin (yes, this thing plays PC-Engine games). #retromodding #ＰＣエンジン
On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Toilet Kids”. This is a 1992 vertically scrolling shoot-em-up developed and published by Media Rings. The whole game has a puerile and lavatorial sense of humour, seeing you combat flying toilets, flies hovering around turds & more.

Today’s game is Galaga ‘88, aka Galaga ‘90, aka Galaga ‘91. Anyway, it’s the best Galaga in my opinion, with warps to different dimensions and a triple ship. Lots of ways to play this one, including on Game Gear, but my favorite is on #PCEngine. #turbografx
On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Street Fighter II Dash Champion Edition”. This is a 1993 port of #Capcom’s incredibly famous 1992 1-on-1 fighting arcade game. Conversion duties were handled by #NEC Home Electronics Ltd. It’s a remarkably good port for the relatively humble #PCEngine.
