It was like $1.99/mo for a year. To me, that's a reasonable price for as infrequently as I use the service. <br><br>This year, as my membership was due to auto-renew, I canceled the auto-renewal: $80/year just is </span><i><span>not</span></i><span> a reasonable price for as infrequently as I use the service.<br><br>That said, I still wanted access to </span><a href="https://evil.social/tags/SNF" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SNF</a><span> </span><a href="https://evil.social/tags/NFL" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NFL</a><span> games and "Peacock-exclusive playoff games (in case one my </span><a href="https://evil.social/tags/Eagles" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Eagles</a><span> matchups is streaming-only). So, I registered a new email address (running my own mail domain, I can set up an infinite number of virtual addresses) and looked for a suitable promo-code. I'd done this before Thanksgiving week and all the promo codes I found were either expired or far from great.<br><br>Come Thanksgiving week, Peacock started mailing out new Black Friday promo codes. Again, they were offering 12 months @ $1.99/mo. So, I went back to the account I registered at the beginning of the month, used the promo-code (and the same credit card, etc. I'd used on the prior account), and now have another year of Peacock at an acceptable price.<br><br>Interestingly, they never bothered to send me a "come back" deal. Not only not one at the Black Friday promotion-rate, but </span><i><span>at all</span></i><span>. <br><br>Clearly, they can afford to offer their service for less than $80 year but choose not to. And, so long as all I need to do is create a new email address each year, I'll just continue subscribing at the Black Friday promotional rates.<br><br>…mentioning </span><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/nfl" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@nfl@a.gup.pe</a><span> since there may be others out there who want to see Peacock-exclusive NFL games but don't want to pay $80/yr or even $8/mo but would find this workaround a financially acceptable alternative to the risks that come with pirate-streams.</span></p>
