#AI is not profitable. It #costs more than it is generating in #revenue. It's a #bubble, and it's going to burst and cause a lot of havoc.

Since this is going to happen at some point, the only way we can actually stop AI it is to get it to bleed out ASAP. By asking it to do meaningless stuff, and saying "please" and "thank you," and doing the other things that they say are melting their chips.

This use case is not what I'm talking about, though I don't have any idea how to do a meaningful #intervention.

@knittingknots2 A key element of #Reagan 's political success was that he let everyone know that taxes have a sweet spot. When you increase the tax rate higher, #tax #revenue declines.

Of course Reagan did not use that knowledge to optimise for tax revenue, but that is a different story.

Today, we see someone avers to knowledge inflicting randomly extreme taxes on his own people. Fodder for so many PHDs, reason for so many bankruptcies. #tariffs

#Trump’s WH budget office has sought to understand the potential cost to maintain #Greenland if it were acquired…. They are also attempting to estimate what #revenue the #US #Treasury could gain from Greenland’s #NaturalResources.

…Trump has said repeatedly that the US will “get” Greenland.

🤔 Judging by their actions, the solution of the #Trump - #Junta is to slash revenue drastically while raising expenditure to unprecedented levels.

(While their other "solution" is to declare bancruptcy [#MarAlLagoAccord] - because the daddy of the United States will of course bail the country out as he always did in the past. 🙄)
