Looking across the Brisbane River at dawn from a small fenced pier on the riverwalk. A flock of swallows is perched on the top five horizontal wires of the fence, looking like plainsong notes on a staff, roughly four bird widths per section, looking like bar markings.

View across the Brisbane river just as the sun rises behind houses on the opposite bank. It's shining through one of a row of pine trees, the glow in the sky reflected on the river, which is smooth in the foreground but rippled further away with the passage of a ferry. The reflections of the pine trees are now intermittent.

A fiery pink cloud bank covers most of the sky, and is reflected in the Brisbane river at dawn. The opposite bank of the river is dark, silhouetted against the coming sun, while in the middle of the river some dark silhouetted rowers are accompanied by a coach in a "tinny".

Two breakwaters protruding from the bank of a large river, seen from a distance. Looking across a very wide river, with the foreground and orange plant-covered mud as the tide is out. Rocks amongsth the mud. In the river ca be seen an island of granite, then hills over the far side in mist, spereating the layers of hills. Coulds above the hills, but generally a blue sky.
