L'une des voix les plus puissantes et visionnaires de la barbarie capitaliste est bien JG.Ballard dans High-Rise :

Ich schreibe weiter an einer längeren Science-Fiction Kurzgeschichte, oder vielleicht wird es eine Novelle. Darin werden mehrere Planeten erwähnt und ich hab mir gedacht, statt mir nun lauter Namen dafür auszudenken, mache ich einfach eine Kombination aus kurzen Namen oder aus Buchstaben und Ziffern, z.B. "Paln38" oder "CV3RS_1" - liest sich sperrig, gibt dem Ganzen aber ein schön mathematisches Feeling.

#PennedPossibilities 612 — Has your SC ever snooped in a friend or partner’s house?

Junk snoops around in everybody's home or place of work, not even a gang warehouse or shop. He's subtle about it. He can't help himself. But hey, that's just how he is and we love him for it. He's silly that way. Plus, honestly, as ridiculous as it sounds, he loves learning about his friends or partners.

Dante, however, respects everyone's privacy and never peeks around in any homes or workspaces. Why bother?

I recently finished the Hyperion Cantos series and I've been thinking about some of the ideas... Notably what happens at the end of the second book and how I see it as a metaphor to what some of us in the fediverse and indieweb are trying to do in terms of tech and healing that part of our society. I'm going to try to write a blog post or maybe do a video talking about it. I just hope it's intelligible to others. 😬
