En 2024 j'ai continué mes explorations avec le textile. Parmi les techniques visitées, il y a la broderie de Bayeux, enseignée au CTCM.

Ikat Yellow Blue Floral Pattern makes a great pillow design. See it here if interested: https://1-lisas-baker.pixels.com/featured/ikat-yellow-blue-floral-pattern-lisa-s-baker.html
A book cover in progress, in the form of #sashiko #embroidery on #shibori tie dyed cotton. I tried to let the dyed pattern of the fabric define which sashiko pattern to use.
I ironed on stabilizer and then used some kind of "milk glue" to attach the fabric to the book board for the first time. So far, the glue seems very promising.
I'm trying to decide what kind of bookbinding technique to use. I want the spine to partially expose the colorful papers I'm going to use within the book.
My dyed bandana from the #BridgesMathArt workshop ‘Dyeing to Make an Orbifold’ by Bobby Stecher and Carolyn Yackel https://archive.bridgesmathart.org/2024/bridges2024-545.html Looks great but still running blue dye weeks later…

Making #shibori pattern is one of my ultimate highs in crafting garments. I do my best to document the process every time it happens because it’s so time-intensive and I don’t know when the next opportunity comes.
This latest pattern is called mokume (I.e. wood grain), and it’s my first time doing it!
