A Rough-scaled Sun Skink (Eutropis rugifera) spotted on the side of a tree at MacRitchie Reservoir Park, Singapore on 29 Sept 2024. An uncommon forest skink with overlapping scales that give it its rough appearance.

Pygmy spiny-tailed #skinks look and act a lot like babies of the #endangered western spiny-tailed skink, which live in the same area, so if these #snakes are preying on one of them, they are likely also preying on the other.

It's 3 years to the day since we brought Jerry the blue tongue skink home. The main reason I have a reminder in my calendar for this is so that I remember to change the tube in his ultraviolet lamp. They lose output over time, and for the particular ones that I use the recommended replacement interval is 12 months.
