It's Sunday #TrueStories time. Today, I'll share 2 short true stories of how I KOed myself & fell to the ground/floor (no serious injuries, don't fret).
First one(in somewhat recent years):
A self KO happened about 8 years ago. I was waiting for my ride on sidewalk, after a legal meeting. A raven flew over. Then perched atop a tree about 10 feet from me. I started walking closer to get a photo. I have issues with getting too passionate about getting photos that I forget to pay attention to what's in front of me. I walked fast. Straight into a hydro pole, face first & KOed myself onto the small patch of grass by sidewalk. The raven cawed & then pooped 2 feet from my faceplant on sidewalk. I look across the road & there's a bunch of people at bus stop. They witnessed it all. I shout across the road - I really need a safety helmet! Then, we all laughed

Se compraste 2 prodotti di cartoleria in un negozio andreste poi in un'altra cartoleria a farveli confezionare? Magari specificando più volte che quei prodotti li avete comprati altrove, non che poi ve li facciano pagare anche lì!
Abbiamo usato come esempio la cartoleria per ovvi motivi, ma il discorso vale per qualsiasi altro negozio.

I'm also a fan of the account written by Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca, one of Esteban's shipmates mentioned in your article. His book is a fascinating account of the natives of North America before the major Spanish expeditions got there and started killing people, as well as an amazing story of adventure and privation.
He's also the reason that the name C. de Vaca (or C. de Baca) is such a common name in New Mexico.
