Seltsam: Obwohl ich nicht auf der Internetseite nih.gov war, bekam ich von ihr ein Cookie. Bei Ublock bekomme ich es aber nicht hin, die Seite zu sperren bzw. das Cookie abzulehnen. Hat jemand eine Anleitung zu ublock bzw. einen Link, wie das genau funktioniert, weil ich es anscheinend nicht kapiert habe... Die whois funktion von Heise brachte auch keine hilfreichen Daten und Ideen. @mho@social.heise.de gov ist doch eine "Regierung" oder "NGO" - oder habe ich mir das falsch gemerkt? Aber warum bekomme ich von da Cookies, wenn ich nur zum Thema "Trans*" von einer trans* Organisation (aber eben nicht die erwähnte .gov) etwas gelesen habe...?

I would like to be logged in to Youtube to participate in some live chats and to occasionally comment.
#Vivaldi is based on #Google's #Chromium platform. I know that #Google is working to kick uBlock Origin out of the #Chrome Extension Store since it's an effective YouTube ad blocker.
So I'll use Vivaldi as my browser and Firefox as a YouTube viewer! 
Otherwise, I'd use Freetube or just log out of Google and watch add free.

Interesting! #uBlock Origin will prevent #YouTube from seeing I'm using an Ad Blocker (uBlock itself) on #Firefox but NOT on #Vivaldi.
So If I'm logged into #Google via Vivaldi, I'm blocked on #YouTube from watching anything since I use the evil uBlock Origin.
If I'm not logged into Google, then Vivaldi is ad-free with uBlock
But if I'm logged in on Google/YouTube via Firefox with uBlock, no issues and no ads.

Given the difference in user counts between #GoogleChrome and #Firefox, it's striking how much more (on average!) Firefox users know about privacy and safety than Chrome users do.
I do agree that #Linux-users are more likely than #Windows-users to be running Firefox and that this'll cause Linux to be under-counted.

Il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Il faut seulement essayer de ne pas garder les mauvaises habitudes prises avec #Windows, pour ceux qui feraient la transition.
Le plus souple est de commencer avec la suite bureautique #LibreOffice, #Firefox + #uBlockOrigin, #Thunderbird (qui gère aussi les #agenda, la messagerie #XMPP, etc.)
Puis d'avoir une machine sous Linux.
Tout synchroniser via #Nextcloud.
Et un jour, plus besoin de Windows.

Like I said, I have installed it freshly with Homebrew on macOS yesterday and the uBlockOrigin extension came installed, so I wouldn't attribute the deinstallation of it on your systems to malice. That's why I was asking why you "thought so"...

There's a way to have it running again, by going to about:config and changing a setting there. But that's very much suboptimal.

I was under the impression that @Vivaldi is going to support Manifest V2 plugins after Chrome drops support, but this message is alarming. What's going on?
uBlock Origin has the potential to save the average global Internet user more than 100 h annually. The energy conserved if everyone in the United States used the open source ad blocker would save over 36 Americans lives per year if it were to offset coal-fired electricity generated-based pollution.
