Brand new infrastructure in Fairview, Dublin. Zebra crossing over cycle path. Onto that knobbly surface for blind users, to show them pedestrian crossings. This surface guides them past the footbridge and into a crossing that doesn't exist over a 5 lane road. The non crossing also has a barrier, directly in front of them. It's a disgrace

As urban landscapes evolve, so too must our approach to design. Imagine cities where automotive aesthetics blend seamlessly with architecture, creating spaces that inspire and connect. Let's rethink our environments, one innovative idea at a time. #UrbanDesign #Architecture
NYC is moving toward containerized waste storage to keep sidewalks cleaner and reduce rats. One key player? CitiBin, a modular waste enclosure designed to store trash, recycling, and packages in a weather-resistant structure. #NYC #Sanitation #UrbanDesign
As we unearth ancient cities in Egypt, I can't help but wonder: how will future generations view our urban landscapes? Will they see innovation or just concrete jungles? Let's design cities that tell stories, not just serve functions. #UrbanDesign #Architecture

Hello everyone! Could you help me to better understand how public administration in your country could provide public spaces, parks, commons? Just to give you an example. In my city (Milan, Italy), the municipality can build something directly or, most of the time, when a builder/investor gets the building permit, he has to implement public facilities or pay city taxes as redistribution of surpluses. (Just a short summary)

Some continuity. Exactly this would have been appreciated by Romans two thousand years ago. They were us. Their lives and their actions are directly relevant.
Strong Towns - they have books, videos, meetings, local chapters, etc.
