DLSS initially feels like a "catch up" technology (allowing cheaper GPUs to compete with higher end alternatives from competing chip designers) but I do think players are starting to expect both high effective spatial resolution (to parse objects at greater distances) & temporal resolution (low latency high refresh rates). Very demanding in most modern engines.
