Hey I found an open source menstrual cycle tracking app called Drip that doesn't call home to anyone and encrypts your data on your device. It's gender inclusive and it has a prebuilt version Android that you can get either on F-Droid or on their site here: bloodyhealth.gitlab.io

They have an iOS version but it's not pre compiled. I'll be working on that today so you can get loaded onto your Apple devices, along with the instructions to install it on said Apple device.

I kinda want to host a roundtable discussion about gameplay data in :

DataTables, DataAssets, external text formats, importing/exporting, tools, single point of authority, designer workflow, mod-friendliness, scripting languages, the whole works.

I spent too long today trying to wrap my head around deploying a Rust program on AWS Lambda to respond to HTTP request through API Gateway, and how to use DynamoDB with it all, before I realized I would be much happier if I just wrote a simple web server and shoved some data into SQLite.

I really thought I was past the point in my career where I would waste that much time on something so irrelevant to my success metric. 😆

With 3 followers, this feels a little silly, but maybe folks read the server wide tab: Which iOS client are people using? The official one?

Today is the day for upgrading to Unreal 5. Perforce is probably the most frustrating part of the experience. 😅

Amusing factoid from the process — for Reasons™️, UE now has FVector2D and FVector2d. (They happen to be typedefed to the same underlying type by default.)
