SellaTheChemist<p>So here’s an interesting tidbit from a British A-level Physics text. Look closely at how errors/uncertainties are propagated in calculations… they add the absolute error in sums/diffs and they sum the relative errors in products/quotients.</p><p>I’m reluctant to look at how they suggest students calculate the resultants from vectors acting in different directions. </p><p>Is it really so hard? Maybe their maths textbooks have reduced Pythagoras theorem to a + b = c.
