I just got back from an Egyptology conference, and one of the vendors was totally different than the typical academic bookseller. They were there to advertise their kickstarter for an ancient Egypt themed 5e supplement called Keshanar (keshanar.com). It looks pretty cool, merging two of my biggest interests, Egyptology :pyramids: and D&D :DnD:

Here is the Spell Points system I created for #DnD5E in 2021. It's a direct drop-in replacement for Spell Slots.

1. The maximum spell level a character can cast is equal to one-half their caster level, rounded up. This results in access to higher spell levels at the same caster levels as D&D5e. A caster must reach Level 17 to cast a 9th Level spell.

My unproductive thing of late has been designing a new magic system for #D&D 5th Edition.

It uses a mana system like many others, but spells have been consolidated and each one can do more. Spells are organized thematically.

I'm still putting together the document and I'm SO EXCITED!! I can't wait to share it with you all when it's ready for the light of day.

That being said, the #DnD5E24 #WeaponMastery Properties also give rise to some interesting questions, like:

"What if I want a Shortsword that has the Push Mastery Property instead of the Vex Mastery Property?"

or "What if I had a faulty or cursed/pranked weapon that *always* Pushed, whether I wanted it to, or not?"

or "What if I want a weapon that has more than one Mastery Property?"

or "What if I had a cursed weapon that turned its Mastery Property back on its wielder?"
