Got to see friends, got to eat lots of food including homemade funnel cake. Woke up this morning to the news that a woman whose daughter was in our oldest daughter's class passed away. Then went to get dressed and discovered that I've been indulging so much during the holiday that I no longer fit in one of my jeans. Skipping breakfast and lunch today. 😕

It was our second game of Nemesis. We played the fully cooperative version, and we lost 😭. We drew the objective that the queen or the ship needs to die, but we also drew the objective that the ship needs to reach earth, so we had to kill the queen. Unfortunately, she was literally the last Alien to be drawn from the Intruder bag, at which point every one was already strongly wounded. Then an event card triggered the self-destruct, with the Generator room having both a malfunction marker and an adult Alien in it, and closed doors and far away 🤯 So we couldn't prevent the self-destruct in time... Still a great evening!
