I've spent some considerable time these last few days decrypting, sorting, renaming and tagging the <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#books</a> I've accrued on Kobo through Humble Bundle.The <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles</a> comics were the most work; converting them to cbz archives and joining all the two-page spreads.And I just now finished the near-complete <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/Discworld" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#Discworld</a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/novel" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#novel</a> collection by <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/TerryPratchett" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#TerryPratchett</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/SeananMcGuire" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#SeananMcGuire</a>'s very much incomplete <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/InCryptid" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#InCryptid</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/OctoberDaye" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#OctoberDaye</a> series.So now I just have to actually read 'em.

TiffanyI’m listening to the third <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/OctoberDaye" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OctoberDaye</a> book and enjoying it more, so far, than the first two. I really like the <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/WaywardChildren" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#WaywardChildren</a> novels but have struggled with the way ‘crazy’ is discussed in the October books. It hurts my mad pride heart. (I don’t expect media to be perfect, and don’t think that’s a reasonable or possible goal, but I do try to engage critically, and I think it’s worth talking about the things that are sharp, or the dominant discourses that are unquestioningly replicated.)
