ohanditdidntgo<p>My <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG40XXH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG40XXH</span></a> has become my <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/SuperTennis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SuperTennis</span></a> machine.</p><p>This was a game I played *a lot* as a kid, and I'm absolutely loving it some 25+ years later.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RetroGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGames</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/SNES" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SNES</span></a></p>
Jeremy<p>I just sent back my <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Anbernic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anbernic</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG40XXH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG40XXH</span></a>.</p><p>I think it's a really nice device but I happened to get one with severe backlight bleed. It doesn't seem to be a widespread problem but I don't plan on buying another one.</p><p>That said, I loved its shape/size, face buttons, and the look of the black colorway with the RGB lighting.</p><p>I thought the stock firmware was nice, but I did get some hiccups during certain spells in FFIX with enhanced res on. It also shut off without warning when the battery ran out.</p>
Jeremy<p>Been enjoying my <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG40XXH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG40XXH</span></a>.</p><p>Initially sleep mode wasn't working so I decided to update the firmware, which was a pain. The handheld came with a 64GB SD card but <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Anbernic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anbernic</span></a>'s firmware update is a 16GB ISO, so I had to create a new partition after flashing so I could put roms back on it.</p><p>It would've been a lot easier if I had an extra SD card, but I figured it out, and now sleep mode works great!</p><p>I considered installing <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/muOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>muOS</span></a> instead of stock firmware but I didn't want to pay for early access.</p>
Jeremy<p>Got my <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG40XXH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG40XXH</span></a>.<br>First impression: Backlight Bleed!</p><p>I opened it up but couldn't find any way to fix it. After putting it back together I managed to alleviate the problem by simply pressing down on the screen. I don't like how much it creeks when doing so, even just to clean it, but I'm feeling better about my purchase now.</p><p>Aside from the screen issues, I think this is a very nice device, especially for 60 USD.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Anbernic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anbernic</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RetroHandheld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroHandheld</span></a></p>
