Jeremy<p>Back from a short and very hot roadtrip to Arizona for my wife's birthday.<br>I didn't have a lot of free time but managed to get ArkOS installed on the <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Anbernic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anbernic</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG503" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG503</span></a> I got right before leaving town and test it out.</p><p>The stock firmware experience of this thing was awful and even after getting <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/ArkOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ArkOS</span></a> set up I haven't been able to get anything but PS1 &amp; PSP games to load for some reason.</p><p>The main draw for me to get this <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RetroGamingHandheld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGamingHandheld</span></a> was the <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/OLED" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OLED</span></a> display, and this is what it looks like...</p>
Jeremy<p>I bought the <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Anbernic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anbernic</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RG503" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RG503</span></a> on a whim last night.</p><p>I know about its shortcomings but it runs Linux, has an OLED display, and a better chip than the 40XXH I just returned.</p><p>I got it from Amazon for 135 USD after tax, which is a bit more than twice what I paid for the 40XXH, but $80 less than the price of the upcoming <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Retroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Retroid</span></a> Pocket Mini.</p><p>I may very well end up returning it but I wanted something interesting to take on a trip I'm going on this weekend.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RetroGamingHandheld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGamingHandheld</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/RetroHandheld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroHandheld</span></a></p>
