RTO, I cried at my desk today.

Today was my first day back in an office for RTO. No one cared or noticed. No contact from from anyone other than an email with office layout and my desk assignment. No one said hello, or engaged with me. I tried to break the ice and talk with people but everyone is in the same boat. No supplies availablefor me since i am not with that department, had to bring in all my gear and set it up. Came home after 8 hours to a disaster from my dogs, who had gotten accustomed to going outside during lunch. I am placed with people whom I don't work with or interact with, my entire team is still remote searching for offices. I was so lonely and confused. I don't know how I can do this and the toll it is taking on my mental health. I need the job, but this is absolutely torture. I wish I could volunteer to be RIF'd. The DRP has too many loopholes and loss of protections, it scares me.

Email About Anti Christian Bias: I am so confused.

I just received an email about some EO about this. First of all, most people know that it’s illegal to give someone shit about anyone’s religious beliefs in a workplace. I respect all beliefs . Freedom of religion is a thing. Secondly, by sending this out, isn’t that another form of discrimination or harassment to encourage people to report this particular thing ?? I read the whole thing and the EO, and it’s very contradicting . Lastly, not even going to bother to take the survey because it’s soo stupid in principle. I’m not going to rat someone out for expressing their non belief or beliefs. PS I get that this administration is more than shady but this EO is just straight confusing .

Bloodbath at my National Lab today. Any other National Laboratories experiencing the same?

Welp, last week we were told that they expected to bring on a bunch of contractors to fill in the gaps left by the wave of people running for the door due to RTO. This morning we were staring down a nearly 1B budget cut. The program I was supporting has been devastated (as many as 80% of the people have been cut), and I've got a pink slip.How are other National Lab people doing?

I’ve heard from an in-state Red Congressional office that Red constituents are literally going to the offices to voice opposition to the FERS Supplement cut, and other changes. Keep up the pressure by pointing out how this is the first social security cut (the same income rules apply to recipients) and how this breaks the social contract. Post your preferred points on every and any TwitterX Truth etc posts that are even remotely related. It’s working. Keep the pressure up to stop this wrongful action.
