I think it’s for the best that I waited until the wiki to publish this article otherwise it would’ve been tacked on to the Setting page which was already huge and lacks navigation links 😅</p><p>The distinction between clubs and teams that developed is part of a re-organization of the setting. Two groups that were previously teams were retconned to being clubs but this gives them more flexibility. </p><p>COSMOS got scaled down significantly from what it was before but this change opens up more options based on different aspects of the retrocomputing communities. COSMOS is based on the part that demonstrates old programs or hardware to show how they can still be useful and may also create new art and music with them.</p><p>Demoscene Derby is a new team based on the Demoscene and this club is based in performance art that participants often push themselves to their limits to create, akin to how demoscene productions are optimized for their hardware and push the hardware they use to their limits. </p><p>The Coding Circle is based on programming for hobbyist purposes and some of the 1970’s hobbyist OSes may be part of this club. It also has members that are modern OSes built for hobbyists. </p><p>TIMES is a club that exists more for story purposes to start investigating mysteries in the past, present or future. It’s not finalized yet if COSMOS would also gather historical records, but if not them, then TIMES would.</p>
