I feel like the emotional edge of that part worked out well.</p><p>Also, I had a couple of moments where the words were really flowing, and feeling like new words, not just rehashing things I've read before. ink and yarn<p><a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/today" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>today</span></a> I wrote about 600 words of story and tried to figure out how to balance dialogue (which comes so easily!) with description (which doesn't!), got a little bit of spinning in, and added more layers to a watercolour painting.</p><p>I'm not sure if I like the painting (it's darker than I'd intended, and with too much texture) but it was an experiment and I'm going to keep going with it just in case it's only in an ugly phase. And even if I don't love it, I bet someone else will.</p><p>I applied to a job and asked about two potential long-shot internal transfers. </p><p>And I went for a 2+ mile walk, and made delicious salmon for dinner with roasted cauliflower and purple yam.</p><p><a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/AmWriting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AmWriting</span></a></p>
