Garnish with an orange twist. Stirring my way through the cold weather. I found it hard to pick out the base spirits. Rather, they intensified the bitters and amaro bringing out strong spicy flavors balanced out nicely by the syrup. Chris RuppelHUMBUG OLD FASHIONED 2 dashes Angostura bitters 2 barspoons humbug spices 1 barspoon maple syrup 1 oz apple brandy 1 oz rye Garnish: orange peel Method: Combine all ingredients with ice in a stirring glass and stir. Strain over a large rock, express orange peel, and garnish.
