I have #deGoogled my phone by (ironically) picking up a second-hand #pixel7 and immediately installing #grapheneOS.

Brings me right back to the days of building #gingerbread for my #htc #raider.

I love that there's no #google on this slab - but I have the option of adding google services in case I ever absolutely *need* to use a piece of software available only on play.

Being an #android oldschooler... I was some impressed with the web installer. My grandparents could have installed Graphene on their phones themselves. Fantastic.

"Glacier" teableau for 12/30/24

I have visited glaciers that are noticeably smaller now than when I was there. My son has photographed polar bears in the wild in places where they are now less likely to be. Meanwhile, the pace at which mitigation of climate change progresses is... glacial.

A tea tableau in chilly, icy colors of turquoise, white, silver, and deep blue. There is a sparkly fir tree, some glittery snowflakes, a quartz polar bear, a shimmering brocade tea cozy, a vintage aquamarine glass cup and saucer, and the tea is Gingerbread black tea from Adagio.
