Danette 🐬<p>So after I changed jobs I went on <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/UHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHC</span></a> They weren’t bad at that time. I paid $50 a month and had a $15 copay- way lower than prev. I could see a specialist who worked magic on my migraines. <br>Today: UHC plan is way more expensive &amp; they no longer covering everything. My dr has prescribed multiple medications that UHC has denied. The pharmacy works to find some workaround- they get my financials &amp; see if I qualify. I survive <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/migraines" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>migraines</span></a> no thanks to insurance companies <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/healthinsurace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>healthinsurace</span></a></p>
Danette 🐬<p>I guess I got through to her because it did get paid. This is not a story about UHC doing the right thing- that customer care rep did. They are a shit company <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/UHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHC</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/healthinsurace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>healthinsurace</span></a></p>
Danette 🐬<p>It’s important information which I need not just basic billing info that I already paid for. The person on the phone went round and round about it- I finally said: “you work for a fucked up company. You know that, right? This is bullshit and I’m not blaming you but it’s fucked up that they’re trying to get out of covering something that they are supposed to based on them sending me a notice to my email where I may or may not ever see it.” /2 <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/UHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHC</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/healthinsurace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>healthinsurace</span></a></p>
Danette 🐬<p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/UHC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHC</span></a> was trying to deny coverage for an emergency bill for my dependent son. He’d banged his head on the ground at my home and needed stitches and they sent an alert and link to my email- which I never saw because🤷🏼‍♀️ Gmail filters. I finally received a bill from the emergency room and called to inquire &amp; they said the time to respond had passed a few months prior. What? Why would they email this info? I’d opted out of paper- well right but this a denial of coverage. /1<br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/healthinsurace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>healthinsurace</span></a></p>
