Your favourite boosterAnyone with experience for account / instance migration in pixelfed?I migrated my account from pixelfed.ch to pixelfed.social, everything checked out well, but now after 2 days still have lost all (20) followers (on both instances), and my follows (50) are still on the old instance... Z3r0 ~ :t_blink:Día 4:Las primeras impresiones de GoToSocial como servicio de microbloging para ActivityPub han sido buenas. O al menos tan buenas como cabía esperarse dado lo que indica la documentación oficial.Dado que la idea es usar esta instancia para darme servicio a mi mismo he optado por usar la instalación más sencilla posible.Nada más arrancar, la carga de CPU rondaba 0.1, y ahora que estoy federado con 1751 instancias ronda el 0.5. Nada mal.Como GtS no tiene una GUI completa tengo que usar <a href="https://maverick-hq.org/tags/tusky" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Tusky</a> en <a href="https://maverick-hq.org/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Android</a> y <a href="https://pinafore.social" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pinafore</a> cuando estoy en mi equipo si quiero poder hacer un uso normal de mi instancia, aunque hay más alternativas. Ya intentaré alojar un Pinafore cuando tenga un rato.Crear el mirror de mi antiguo usuario desde mi instancia original hacia el actual en esta otra fue un procedimiento sencillo. Recibí las solicitudes de mis antiguos contactos automáticamente y empecé a ver como iba federando con más instancias.Por otro lado, el proceso de añadir mis antiguos contactos aquí fue bastante manual. Tuve que exportar el CSV desde mi antigua instancia y añadirlos a mano uno por uno. Que sí, que ya se que lo más geek hubiera sido picarme un script con la CLI de GtS, pero no tengo tantos contactos y no me sale a cuenta el ponerme a mirar documentación y hacer pruebas. Además, esto no es algo que me plantee hacer todos los días.Una vez migrado mi usuario lo primero que noté es que, a parte de lo que iban tooteando mis contactos, no veía mucho movimiento en mi timeline federada. Esto se debe a que aquí estoy yo solo y, tal y como funciona la federación en GoToSocial (no sé si también es así en Mastodon), es necesario que tus contactos hagan boost de otros toots para que tú puedas verlos en tu TL federada. Además, GoToSocial no soporta el uso de relays todavía.Por suerte, me topé con una solución parcial al problema en <a href="https://mookiesplace.com/@mookie/statuses/01HW9SAX66HRJCJ3X966PFFWKR" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">este</a> toot. Usando el relay de <a href="https://maverick-hq.org/tags/fedibuzz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FediBuzz</a> puedo añadir tags como si fueran usuarios.Por ejemplo, si quiero seguir la etiqueta <a href="https://maverick-hq.org/tags/starwars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#StarWars</a>, no tengo más que seguir al usuario que la representa en el relay:<a href="https://relay.fedi.buzz/tag/starwars" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@StarWars</a>También descubrí que se pueden añadir instancias concretas siguiendo, de nuevo, su usuario en el relay. Ejemplo:<a href="https://relay.fedi.buzz/instance/frikiverse.zone" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@frikiverse.zone</a>Esto hace que los tags y el contenido publicado en otras instancias aparezcan como boosts en mi home y como toots en mi TL federada. ¡MAGIA! Acabo de aumentar la cantidad de instancias con las que la mía está federando y recibo el contenido que deseaba. O puede que demasiado de él.¡Horror! Hora mi home estaba experimentando un movimiento excesivo y se me estaba haciendo bastante incómodo el poder leer su contenido. Pues bien, la solución para esto es tan sencilla como acceder al perfil usuario que añadí usando el relay de <a href="https://maverick-hq.org/tags/fedibuzz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FediBuzz</a> y silenciar sus boosts en mi home. CratesmithSo... I'm wanting to move instances back to mastodon.gamedev.place However, when I try to create an alias from there back to this account I get the error "could not be found". I'm guessing this is some issue with the fork of calckey my current instance uses? I'm a bit concerned that this issue will force me semi-start over. What are my options?
