#match3

I was wanting #BrowserGame comfort & thought I'd explore #Match3 on CrazyGames. Most games were too bubbly-primary-colours for me & seemingly only designed to catch advertising $$. They wanted to hold my hand way after the tutorial should have ended ... surely Match 3 isn't that hard?
My recommendations:

TowerSwap is actually interesting, I didn't get past day 31 but really enjoyed the day of building/swapping to build stronger defences, followed by night when the dragons attack.

Merge World, with the warning it's a time suck. Literally you wait x number of minutes & seconds for the fairies to construct the building you got from matching 3 or harvest more raw materials. 3 of this building are need to make 1 of another building, until the game sprawls and slows. I spent a day on it, I needed a mental break, but I'm unlikely to play again

type games aren't really my jam, but bunny girls flirting with each other are significantly more that?

It was all very cute and pretty enjoyable despite that I'm not into this particular puzzle genre. When you're not doing Mass Effect-style dialogue stuff you're pulling up and pushing down vegetables in the ground to do that whole Match 3 thing that is the focus of the game.

Got to know a bunny named Garlic, a bear, several cows, and...aliens!?

Coming off the heels of #Strider Remake, I didn’t know what to play, especially since I own over 7000 #videogames. I used #Playnite to choose a random game for me and it chose #Gyromancer.

Developed by #PopCap for #SquareEnix in 2009, this #match3 #puzzleRPG is something like #PuzzleQuest but instead of tiles swapping spots, you rotate 4 tiles clockwise. This mechanic makes things interesting, but in the end it’s repetitive and not what I’m looking for atm.

Making small progress on the TD prototype.

You can now place tiles, with a cute little preview. If the cell isn't available, the preview warns you with a red cross and you can't place anything.

I've only used tweens for these simple animations, which allow you to dynamically change the time and values of the animation.

It doesn't look like it, but it was a puzzle to get the tile provider to work harmoniously with the tile remover.

Hey lazyweb, before I start digging through ten billion Match 3 games on Steam and Itch, do you have any suggestions for one with a plot and added mechanics?

I really liked Puzzle Quest and Puzzle Quest 2, which are sort of RPGs using Match 3 to resolve encounters.
