Late and early Spring species collide in the heated atmosphere.Wingless ground beetles, who need not heat any flight muscle and therefore tolerate cold temperature foraged less than normal, while all sorts of unexpected heat-loving bees and wasps are buzzing around ! I do not know what plants feed them. They woke up in primroses season, i.e. way ahead of vegetation.
