And the job postings I'm looking at bear a noticeable difference from the last time I had to actively look for a job a few years back.I keep seeing stuff that's anywhere between borderline-unethical and inarguably-unethical-bordering-on-illegal.An example I saw today was for a back-end developer. They didn't outright say it, but I got the impression they're building an "AI" model, or possibly selling training material to those that do. The "must-haves" for the position included wording to the effect of "extensive experience defeating anti-scraping measures".Twenty years ago, that posting would have been on the dark web; actively working to defeat website operators / content owners protections of their web content? Georgiana BrummellI am confused. When I write a new post with TWBlue, it shows as Public. But when I reply to it, it shows as Unlisted. What does that mean? I am certain I can change this, either in TWBlue or on <a href="http://Blob.cat" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Blob.cat</a>. I think it may have something to do with whether it appears in timelines or not, but I'm not sure. If so, then my reply with the tags to the other post was pointless. Georgiana BrummellHas everyone except Dreamwidth and the makers of TweeseCake forgotten how to make an edit page/option that is actually easy to use? It's an absolute mess on the Friendica page itself, so that it could take me up to ten minutes just to be able to edit a post, and Enafore, which is supposed to be an improvement on Semafore has an edit page that is completely inaccessible with NVDA. It just says "Dialogue". Whatever happened to choosing "edit" and having a normal page open, with edit boxes, combo boxes, and a "save" button? See Dreamwidth's page for a perfect example of this, both for creating and editing posts.<a href="https://www.dreamwidth.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">dreamwidth.org/</a>TweeseCake also works wonderfully, but it only allows you to go back so far in your own posts. Georgiana BrummellHere we go again, with the same old questions that were never answered or resolved.I have an old post of mine that I want to edit on Friendica. I can go to the site and see it. I can even click on "edit". Then, no matter what I do, I am unable to change anything. I am put in a text edit box, and when I leave it, I am sent back to the page, as if I never hit "edit" at all. In the past, I have, with extreme patience and a lot of wasted time, been able to edit posts from the main site, but this time, it's not working. I'm not sure if it's simply a lack of screen reader accessibility or if there is a time limit to edit posts. This one that I specifically put on my profile for people to read. If posts expire or if I can't properly edit them, I will need to delete this repost it, then readd it to my profile. Even Tweesecake can't help, since the post is beyond its time range! Can anyone please help me? Georgiana BrummellI remarked earlier today that, since joining Friendica, I've seen more posts about programming than I have in my entire life. This made me laugh, because it's funny, and I've enjoyed hearing about people's different experiences. But I also keep seeing posts and conversations about things such as veganism, anti-capitalism, whites and racism, American politics, mental health, etc. It's beyond annoying. I didn't join the Fediverse to have my newsfeed blasted with radical politics, people's medical issues, and so on. Even on Facebook, there were the constant reminders to love and stand up for yourself and so on, which I never understood, always having loved myself and never tolerating nonsense from anyone. But there, at least, I could filter it out by either not adding such people as friends or simply defriending them. Here, I see conversations that I have no interest in, just because my friends are involved in them, or some page that I otherwise like posted about them. I can't believe there is no way to filter out things on Friendica and/or with TweeseCake. As side note, Dreamwidth is also full of people who write about all sorts of medical and mental health issues.
