Jenny Mathiasson<p>Today I'm a little sombre because I learned that my old <a href="https://glammr.us/tags/archaeology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>archaeology</span></a> lecturer, Prof Tim Darvill, passed away this weekend from cancer.</p><p>I only had intermittent contact with him throughout my first degree but things I remember that you should know are:<br>- He was always hopeful, in all that he did<br>- He always had time for you and your ideas<br>- He played guitar in The Standing Stones</p><p>As a bonus he was also an eminent <a href="https://glammr.us/tags/prehistorian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prehistorian</span></a>, <a href="https://glammr.us/tags/archaeologist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>archaeologist</span></a>, author, and <a href="https://glammr.us/tags/Stonehenge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Stonehenge</span></a> expert.</p><p>Rest well, Tim.</p>
