I always thought of crochet lace as heavy, indelicate. But then I had an internship at Skansen open air museum in Stockholm, and I was tasked to make this bonnet. It’s from the oldest crochet manual printed in Swedish, from the 1840’s. And the fineness of this lace really blew me away and set me on a new path.

Vant-visning IGEN?!

Lovar att det är det sista nyproducerade paret tumvantar för denna vinter.

Den här gången är vantarna gjorda i en kombination av två gamla, gamla tekniker: virkning som ser ut som nålbindning plus ryastickning.

Återvunna garn rätt igenom, från tre olika begagnade tröjor och koftor. (Alan Paine, H&M, 365 Sunshine.)

Balkong-selfie! Har fortfarande inte räknat hur många blommor det blev, men snitt-tiden för varje blomma (inklusive trådfästning) låg på strax under 10 minuter.

Återvunnet lingarn, givetvis. Från en begagnad KUS-kofta + en Lindex-tröja.
