So #unity has made big changes to their policy. Personal plans and games making less than $1million won’t be charged. Personally, I think this is acceptable, though I think it’s a bit weird that they’re still trying to include the runtime fee in some capacity rather than just have the 2.5% revenue share. I think there would’ve been less anger if unity had started with the revenue share.

Also you can stick with the terms of your current Unity version, which means my personal project will not be affected by these prices. I might work on the same project in #unity and #godot to see which I like better, but I’m going to be more wary of Unity from now on. I’ll probably stick with Godot in the long term. There’s no guarantee Unity won’t try something sneaky again in the future.
