Finished CALIBAN'S WAR. Took me a bit longer to read than LEVIATHAN WAKES, but it has more pages and I had less time.
Most important is that the book was a lot of fun, just like the first one. If I had to pick one thing I didn't like is that it didn't have the "I'm that guy".
Once more, I LOVE that there is a lot less "drama for the purpose of drama" in the books than the show which makes actual conflict stand out more and the friendship in the crew of the Roci is very wholesome.
Due to the viewpoint narrator structure of the books, they cannot explore other characters such as Mao and Errinwright as the show could, but on the other hand, the viewpoint characters tend to be explored better. Bit of a tradeoff in the end.
