Not much for the evening as I did a good bit of initial planning. I have a world node with a hero and a few enemies! I want to set up some basic attack animations next, then some basic mechanics. I really like using the fantasy tileset, not sure if it's great for this project though

Working up some basic attacks, trying to make things feel snappy. I think this will do nicely with a little screenshake 😎 :godot:

I added an input buffer with an easy addon 😎 shout out to JohnnyNeverWalked :godot:

I added a combo system that changes the attack effect and damage when landing quick hits on the same target. While making gifs, I added a tween to make the hero actually 'bump' the enemy :godot:

screenshake! It has the potential to add a lot of juice! I even linked the amount of shake up to the hit in your combo so there's more shake farther into the combo :godot:

after a bit of environment design, our hero and slimes have a locale! This kind of design is hard for me, and I'm happy with how it's turned out so far. :godot:
