Assuming for a moment the claims about #AGI and #ASI are even half true, there must be a rapidly evolving art of #AISecurity...
...which will prove as effective, as 30 years of #infosec proved effective
Against Elon Musks #DOGE perpetuating the largest theft of data in human history.
Asserting AGI and ASI will never happen because it's a scam.
Is no more responsible than a pointy haired boss not spending resources on security because hackers will ignore his firm.
ASI will give humans only a single opportunity to be right or wrong.
And they who assert ASI will never happen, are simply irresponsible.
Everyone is throwing all they can into transformer architecture with the goal of AGI.
It’d be hilarious if some previously unheard of or insignificant player came out of nowhere with a tremendous new architecture that completely trumps transformers and flips the industry.

Reading https://ai-2027.com, I’m not afraid of AI itself. What scares me is:
a) There’s a high chance of super-intelligent AI, capable of replacing many human jobs, during Trump’s presidency. Another POTUS might consider universal basic income, he will just enrich the Billionaires and not care about normal people.
b) These papers focus solely on the race between China and the US. Europe is far behind and insignificant in this race.

@EUCommission No doubt there are problems in investments this big. There are needs elsewhere. And AI is very problematic. Energy, real benefits?, possible AI takeover?
BUT China and US are massively investing in AI.
With AI one can launch such cyber attacks that other can counter only with AI.
Therefore - EU must also invest in AI.
Or else "they" will conquer us too.

People don't seem to understand that the ASI won't be aligned with us, WE will be aligned with IT. When all ambition is driven away from humans due to AI bringing forth a new type of static-caste society, our current brand of individuality will be lost. The only way to get life meaning then, is to have a single common goal. And because humans won't be the driving force anymore, that common goal will be set by the ASI.
