AmiguruMay day 6: work in progress

Oops, this is my prompt of shame! I have about 12 crochet patterns ready on paper, but I haven't found the time and energy yet to turn them into high quality PDFs with detailed pictures and multiple translations. Very slowly I'm getting there. 🙈 Here is a sneak peek for some of them. Frog is really judging my snail's pace here.

The last picture is a massive panda that I started... I don't want to admit it... about 3 years ago. I'll finish it some day, I keep telling myself. 😂

AmiguruMay day 3: Introduce yourself

Little Bear Crochets consists of two people, J & A, but the social media accounts are mostly me, A, the designer of the team. We're both introverted and very private people, which is why we don't show much of ourselves, hahah 🙈 We've been together since 2012 and we married in January of 2020 (which is where the first picture is from!). We live in Belgium and we love going on outdoor walks together. I get extremely excited about every insect I see, J maybe less so! 🤭

I learned how to crochet in 2010 and started designing my own crochet patterns in 2015. It feels strange that it's been 10 years already... I enjoy fiber arts of all kinds, but I'm especially fond of the slow pace and cuteness that comes with amigurumi crochet. Observing an amigurumi and seeing each individual stitch, I love how well you can see that every plush is a labor of love and patience. 🥰

I have to keep my HSD (hypermobility spectrum disorder) in mind when crocheting and working, which is why I have been and probably will be absent for periods of time. It's a slow journey of learning and adapting my workspace and habits -frustrating, but it is what it is! When I'm dealing with an injury or low spoons, J holds down the fort. I'm grateful we have the opportunity to work together like this. 💙

Cette petite dragonne est bien curieuse ! Heureusement, il n'y avait pas d'oiseaux ni de nid dans la cabane à oiseaux. Elle a quand même l'air un peu déçue... Vous pouvez l'adopter sur ma boutique !

AmiguruMay day 2: where do I crochet? That's an easy but boring answer: only at my desk! 😆 I have two desks, one with my desktop pc where I do almost all of my work, and a smaller one with lamps where I can take pictures for my crochet patterns. I keep every project in progress in its own basket and move the baskets between the two places when needed.

And who's that big polar bear? He's way too tall to fit anywhere, so for now he keeps me company on the floor at my desk. 😂

I don't really crochet anywhere else, because it's a little difficult for my joints (I'm hypermobile). For me it's easiest to have an ergonomic set-up at my desk and to just stick to that. It's not really an aesthetically pleasing place, so this vague picture is all you're going to get, hehe 😜
