Story to this one. My dad lost a diamond from one of his gold rings. He was upset bc neither he nor my mom could find it after turning the apartment inside out. They gave it up for lost. a week or so later, my mom was combing my hair. I jumped up & pulled away bc I saw a twinkle in the dark blue carpet. I pulled the diamond out of the fibers. My parents were thrilled.

- Mailed my postcards to #Wisconsin voters today.

- Held #Diamond (who historically doesn’t like being held) in a new/different way, and she didn’t hate it. She even began purring contentedly until she suddenly realized what was going on, came to her senses, and requested down. A very good girl.

- Good self-defense class tonight. Learned how to control & bring an attacker to the ground using just their head.

#Henry had a rough day today. His sister #Diamond insisted on sharing his cat bed, leaving hardly any room* for him at all! Poor guy had no choice but to hang his head out the front of the bed. Truly tragic. Somewhere Sarah McLachlan is singing.

*there was SO much room, but where’s the drama in that?

Today’s 3 good things:

- Moved out of my physical office space. It was emotional & bittersweet, but it was the right decision and this was a big step.

- Partner & I were dismayed to find our fave breakfast burrito place has closed. We consoled ourselves with an abundance of Taco Bell to make up for it.

- #Diamond forgave us for an unknown transgression and allowed us to provide her with apologetic belly rubs. She is very forgiving.
