This is a scene from chapter 9 that shows how both my fanfic and my fanarts have two moods: serious sexual tension, and silly romantic comedy 😁💕

In the first panel, merman-Gyro brings his face way too close to Johnny's, and he whispers to him: "I feel like... trying you". Johnny, with signs on his face of having been crying before, looks very flustered. In the second panel, Johnny throws his face on the sand and screams at Gyro, who pulls back with a guilty expression. Lucy is looking towards them, shocked.

For some reason of needing it to make sense, I started rearranging an entire conversation in chapter two and I’m too bloody tired for it. I spent two hours writing something else before and I’m so done with being tired.

Meanwhile when the teenage character in the situation encounters similar in their tv original show, they just say ”that’s annoying” and get rid of the people in their way, but if they did that here, they wouldn’t be in this story.

This is a book intro that has stuck with me for the 10+ years I've known of it. It sets up the book perfectly, establishing one of the main character's key convictions *and* subverts it in one go, and sets up where the story will eventually get to part-way through the book in an opening scene that is both concise and also one of the most visceral, evocative scenes I've had the pleasure to read :shiba_love:

I'm genuinely curious how well this holds up for people that aren't MLP fans, so if you listen to it, can you tell me how it was? :shiba_confused:
