@OhOkKay @GottaLaff Thanks. Poilievre was a good student of Harper’s. What happened under Harper was the beginning of the end of Canada, as I know it. It took a while, but we —the Canadian people— got rid of that malignancy. Now it’s time to remember, and do it again.
ps. Poilievre and the Cons are NOT conservatives in the Canadian tradition. They are fascists. We are watching what that means, in practice, for USA

I'm all for a more humane and just immigration policy (I'm an immigrant, as is most of my family) in Canada. Funny that Poilievre seems willing to turn a blind eye to family members who have their refugee claims rejected, cross illegally, and stay regardless. Having seen good people our family knew deported with little notice under #Harper, these sorts of "conservative exceptions" are maddening.
