Growing a Spiritual Seed is going to be an ordeal; I got to set-up an elemental banner layout and crops of that element in order to grow the thing. It's going to be complex and annoying, but I'm up for a challenge.

What's worse is that there are no guides out there for growing the damn thing except for an out of date one; seems like Immortal Life is too niche for current up-to-date information guides. The game only gives you this information once, but the UI is at least informative enough that I might be able to work it out.

A brief play session has led me to being able to reorganize my farm, wake up a titular character, get quests done!

I was able to get all the available Trade Routes unlocked, but now a lot of research into new seeds and decor is necessary for further advancement. Spirit Stones and time will make this possible, taking a brief break to eat a snack before moving forward.

One thing I love about this is that I can fulfill those research requirements anywhere using the magic book Ji Yaohua gifted me. It makes managing my time in-game a lot easier to know that one less location is required for a daily route.

The devs for Immortal Life need to next allow for global inventory access so that learning new recipes is made more efficient. For a game with magic, this seems like a strange oversight.

They were kind enough to give us an easy to upgrade Warehouse that can get pretty spacious early game. The next logical step is to access that warehouse from anywhere.

Thankfully, getting rich in Immortal Life isn't too difficult. It does require a dedicated focus to certain crops that have massive yields, or can be refined into higher tier ingredients which equal high spirit stone values! Anima Fruit, Soybeans, Wheat, Peppers, and Rice can be those big currency makers.

Once the farm plots are redone, I'll be making a massive field and populating it with those forementioned crops to boost my character's currency on hand.

As the trade routes which would give me access to money making crops is gated by at least 20,000 Spirit Stones in total of purchases. I am not daunted by that though, as I've had selling days that netted me 15,000 Spirit Stones in profit.

During the first Winter, I've finally finished several quests that have lingered in my quest log for too long (mostly because I was struggling a bit, until my focus kicked in). Farming is so very central in this game, so I've been growing a lot of crops to unlock recipes, fulfill quests.

The Qiongzhen Pavilion R&D Facility needs a ton of stuff, due to this, I've abandoned growing in optimal seasons (the yield is lower, but that can be mitigated by bulk planting). All my efforts lead to the next stage of Breakthrough; Foundation, which is the second level one can attain in Cultivation. In video game terms, it makes your character stat pools deeper, allowing you to boost those stats further.

I couldn't explain it in the ancient Chinese terms for Internal Alchemy...It's way too esoteric for me at the moment, I barely understand the concept as it stands. I want to fix that with some excellent reading material!

I got so absorbed in learning how to manage my time better in Immortal Life that it's currently 4:22 in the morning. I finally unlocked the Qiongzhen Pavilion, it's a special shop ran by Ji Yaohua's Illusion.

It's going to be a source of highly valuable crops later in the game after I set-up the R&D division within Quiongzhen Pavilion.

My character and his comrades will rebuild Guiyun Sect and make a great Cultivation haven for students looking to become Cultivators.

I'm going to be a tired person today...That's okay because I still have a few days to recover from my mistake. ROFL

I got quite a few quests done today in Immortal Life; my fields are gradually coming together in the layout which makes the most of my Octopath Wells and Modified Octowells. My watering gourd Rain spell will be used sparingly as I can't yet restore MP just by sleeping (there are sources that can be gathered in the world, they seem to be sporadically placed). I'll use it to water crops that need a massive field to maximize productivity.

I played Immortal Life; It's a Chinese game based on the Internal Alchemy, Neidan. A person who practices this Taoist art is essentially trying to become immortal by using their body as a cauldron for creating Jindan (Golden Elixir) within themselves. This in turn creates a spiritual body that survives after the physical body's death.

So far, Immortal Life is a bit janky control wise; they didn't allow players to use a control method which is more popular in their region. The B button to talk and confirm is so strange, it has tripped me up quite often. Using a controller in this game is causing me a unique level of frustration. However, gradually, I am acclimatizing to the strange controller layout. I also don't like that time passes way too quickly! There's no option to slowdown time, meaning you really need to have a care and choose your activities with care.

So far, this hasn't put me off the game, though; I'm liking the character interactions, and the English subs are pretty good.
