Here we go. Unlocked the Omega Quintet Promotional Video System! Haven't gotten into it yet, but it looks like a very extensive editor for creating stage performances for the group. You can assign vocal parts, choose dance moves and poses, decide who stands where on stage, and even choose which members perform, along with deciding who the camera focuses on for each part. It's the idol simulation game within the game! :mmikusing:

As I progress in the game, the group will expand from a trio to a quintet (as implied by the title), and I'll eventually unlock more songs, dances, and outfits to incorporate into the PVs. Definitely looking forward to exploring this part of Omega Quintet even more.

I'm no trophy hunter for video games, but this was kind of surprising. The trophy for finishing the first chapter of Omega Quintet is "Rare" with only a 31.7% achievement rate! :akko_think2:

I know it's a very niche JRPG. Compile Heart games always seem to have overly complicated (yet easy to exploit) battle mechanics along with the extensive VN elements, but to think that that many people dropped the game before even getting through the onboarding phase is kind of unexpected.

On a related note, the trophy for defeating a mere 100 enemies is even rarer, with only a 25.5% attainment rate!

I've played two Compile Heart games before (Cyberdimension Neptunia and Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force), and Omega Quintet's structure is well within what I was expecting from it. At least I'm enjoying the game so far, and that's all that matters. :konata_however:

Started up a JRPG which has been in my backlog literally since I got my PS4 about five years ago, being one of the very first games I bought for it: Omega Quintet.

It's an Idea Factory/Compile Heart game, perhaps best known for the Neptunia franchise, so I think I have an idea of what to expect as far as level design, characterization, and VN elements go.

What got me interested in Omega Quintet in the first place is that it's a JRPG where the characters are an idol group. And as idols often do, they are tasked with saving the world from an evil force. :akko_fingerguns:

I have some experience with this premise from a couple of anime series: AKB0048 (which was way better than it needed to be, to my delight) and iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia (which sadly fell short for me), so I'm hoping Omega Quintet is fun as well.

And apparently there's a feature in Omega Quintet where you can choreograph stage performances for the idol group, so I'm looking forward to discovering that at some point.
