Further north, in #Pakistan 's mountainous province of #GilgitBaltistan, a #heatwave the past week has cause #FlashFlood and #GLOF or a Glacial Lake Outburst Flow, a wall of water that floods down mountains once it's ice wall melts and breaks like a dam.
GLOFs have become "common" in Northern Pakistan in the past decade, washing away infrastructure, towns and farms almost annually.

Coming now to the second province in #Pakistan affected by the rains. Uptil 1st Aug 2024, 24 people had died and hundreds of families made homeless by the rains.
"Pakistan usually receives 255mm of rain each month", #Lahore received 356mm in THREE HOURS. Don't have data on rain in #KP though.

in my humble, but considerable, opinion we ought to focus on a mass education campaign around the theory behind equal rights for all
Einstein and Freud exchanged letters making it clear that a lack of equal rights and the lack of an effective international court for conflict resolution were the key causes of war
the fight to educate others about human rights is the fight against war
